Croatia lies on the coast of the Adriatic
sea which is the largest and most beautiful bay of Mediterranean.
It was found in the 7th century so this is one of the oldest countries
in south-east part of Europe. Numerous palaces, town walls, castles,
forts which belong to different architectural styles can been seen in
Croatian towns.
One
of the most interesting cities that preserve those cultural as well
as natural beauties is Dubrovnik, known as pearl of Adriatic. Being
the town of extraordinary importance for the Croatian and world historical
heritage, Dubrovnik was entered into the UNESCO Register of the World
Heritage in 1979. The first encounter with Dubrovnik will excite every
visitor because all the history since ancient times is visible in such
a small place that can been seen all at once.
The island Lopud is very close to Dubrovnik
about 45 minutes by ship.
Mild
climate, abundant vegetation and numerous archeological findings attract
many visitors every year. It is a real summer residence with a nice
pebbled and sandy beaches having all the necessary conditions for a
comfortable and enjoyable holidays. No public transport is allowed on
the island so nothing can ruin the natural harmony.
